Board of Directors

This board is the senior-most leadership body for Tigers Go, providing guidance, wisdom, and direction to its Executive Director (Chris) for the on-going activities of Tigers Go.  They meet regularly, are involved in Tigers Go in many ways, and are all-around great people who have fun and follow Christ in their daily lives.  Here's a little more about each of them...

Sorrel Hoover
Sorrel is a Realtor with Open House Realty in Clemson, SC, and is involved with the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce, serves as an Odyssey of the Mind coach at Clemson Elementary School, and is a volunteer with Clemson Community Care.  She is married to her husband, Sam, and makes her home with him and two sons in Central, SC.

Chris Manley
Chris currently serves as Executive Director for Tigers Go.  In addition to serving as Executive Director, Chris also holds the positions of President and Secretary for Tigers Go.  His term runs through 2010 and he lives with his wife, Ashley, in Pendelton, SC.

JoBeth Manley
JoBeth is the guidance counselor at Westcliffe Elementary School in Greenville, SC, and is involved at her church, Bethesda United Methodist in Powdersville, SC.  Her term runs through 2010.  She is the mother of Chris Manley and makes her home in Powdersville, SC, with her husband, Gary, and other son, Brooks.

Dr. Gary L. Powell
Gary is an Emeritus Professor of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University, having retired in May 2006 after 38 years of service. He has been involved in several trips to New Orleans along with many in his family.  He is an active member of Clemson United Methodist Church and has remained active at the University in many capacities.  Gary also holds the position of Treasurer for Tigers Go and his term runs through 2010.  Gary makes his home in Seneca, SC, with his wife, Connie.

Nancy Vandiver
Nancy is an accountant for O'Neal, Inc., in Greenville, SC.  She is an active member of Liberty United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and lay speaker.  Originally from Lexington, KY, Nancy has been in South Carolina for 15 years and makes her home in Liberty, SC, with her husband, J.L.

Russ Warmath, Chair
Russ graudated with an MBA Degree in Human Resource Adminsitration and Finance.  He worked in the field of Human Resources with a Fortune 500 company for over 15 years.  For the last 28 years, Russ has been a HR consultant working in various industries, including not for profit.  He is an educator with Clemson University, VP of the Sertoma Collegiate Chapter, and has run several projects for the United Methodist Youth Salkehatchie program.  He has been on three trips to New Orleans and has worked on local mission trips with our organization.  Russ makes his home in Seneca, SC, with his wife, Nancy.
