Tigers Go officially began on August 27, 2006, just one day short of the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. All five of our founders had traveled to New Orleans several times since Katrina, two of them spending several weeks there during the summer, and another leading a relief trip in July.
These trips started through a campus ministry called Clemson Wesley. Tigers Go formally separated from Clemson Wesley in January of 2007 to continue to promote missions opportunities in New Orleans and in the Clemson area. Tigers Go is ever thankful to Clemson Wesley for their guidance and help in our early days.
Our mission is to serve others in need by following in the Way of Jesus. For us, right now, that consists of working primarily in New Orleans, LA, and the Clemson-area of SC through several ministry opportunities.
Our five founders are:
- Ashley (Cauble) Manley
- Matt Lemieux
- Chris Manley
- David Monts
- Charity Turner
To date, we have led eleven trips to New Orleans from Clemson with over 470 missioners, started and led a summer mission camp for youth (Camp Collide) that has included over 800 campers and staff, and have begun local missions opportunities throughout the semester in the Clemson-area.
We invite you to become a part of our story as we continue to grow, reach out, and help people who are in need!
