Construction Know-How Team
Our volunteers and staff know a bit about construction, but we are far from experts. We need people with carpentry, building, and plumbing skills to call on with questions and advice when we get into sticky situations. We'd love for you to become more involved and lead sites, but we know you're busy. If you can take a phone call every now and then when we need some guidance and troubleshooting, that's all the commitment we need!
Local Missions Breakfast Superhero
Our local missions volunteers wake up early to meet for each workday. They're often hungry. We need a superhero to prepare and deliver breakfast on the mornings of our workdays (eight per year) so that our volunteers will be well-fed as they begin a day of service. Can you be our superhero?
Staff Training Chef Extraordinaire
Our summer staff and a team of trainers gather at the start of each summer to go through a very exciting time known as Staff Training. It's a busy time with lots to do and everyone seems to build up a pretty good appetite. Our Chef Extraordinaire will prepare meals for our group (breakfast and dinner) from May 28-June 4 in Clemson. We can even give you somewhere to sleep while you're in town!
Story Collecteller
The stories about the families we serve and the volunteers who serve are just too amazing to keep to ourselves. We need several folks who can listen well, ask questions, and write down the stories from local missions and Camp Collide. Will you collect and tell stories with us?
Visual Storytelling Guru
They say a picture tells a thousand words. A video makes it even better. Just as we need Story Collectellers for the written word, we need one or two folks with a knack for shooting and editing video to help us tell stories - visually. We've got some neat equipment and software... come make video magic with us!
Tool King (or Queen)
We do lots of stuff and have lots of volunteers. Along with those come lots of tools! We need someone to help us manage our tool inventory and keep track of things - both so we don't lose things and so we know how much of what we have. Are you a good counter? We'd love to count on you!
Base Camp Volunteer
You'd be surprised how much our office needs to do so that work teams know where to go, materials get to the right place, and all of our papers stay straight. We have an amazing Office Coordinator who volunteers to keep the ship on course, but from time to time she needs help holding down the fort. This work ranges from putting together mailings, sorting papers, to answering telephones. If you can give a few hours every once in a while to spend in our office, you can fill a huge need!
Summer Multitasking Aficionado
During the year our office does a lot to keep the troops moving along with local missions and planning for Camp Collide. But, during the summer, our office shifts into hyperdrive to keep things moving as our summer staff come on board and hundreds of campers fill the Upstate and New Orleans to serve. From mid-May through early August, we need an aficionado (or two!) of multitasking to join us and spend a few hours each week keeping the wheels greased and the engine running. Are you up for the task?
